Import Media Pro copies your photos and videos, checks every file against the card, tells you when it’s safe to format — and hands them straight to Lightroom Classic. Quick culling, bracket-set checking and Sony video support built in.

Everything a card offload should do — and nothing you have to babysit.
Every file is read back from the disk and its xxHash64 checksum compared with the card. A copy that doesn’t match is never treated as safe.
A clear green “Card safe to format” — or exactly why not. Plus a per-file report saved with your photos and your backup.
Import history recognises files you already imported — even after renaming — so a reused card shows only the new shots.
Groups brackets by exposure value and flags any set missing a frame before you import — not after the client edit.
Clip XML and proxies travel with every clip; thumbnails show 4K · 23.98p · S-Log3 at a glance; optional folders by format or profile.
Subfolders, renaming, backup copy, creator & copyright, delete-after-verify, opens on card insert — from card readers or straight from the camera over USB.
Most importers check that a file exists and has the right size. Import Media Pro reads every copy back from the disk, bypassing the Windows cache, and compares checksums with the card. Only then does it call a card safe to format.
Lightroom’s own import can’t check your copies or tell you a card is safe to format. Import Media Pro does the safe part, then hands the files to Lightroom Classic through a small plug-in — added in place, never copied twice.
Import Media Pro reads each frame’s exposure value and finds where every set starts and ends — so one missed frame affects only its own set, instead of shifting every set after it.

Clips keep their metadata XML, renamed to match. Proxies land in a Proxy folder with the clip’s name, ready for DaVinci Resolve or Premiere proxy matching. Photos and videos go to separate folders automatically — optionally sorted by format or picture profile.
Open the card full screen and go through it with the keyboard. Skip the misses, star the best — and import only what’s worth keeping. Stars are saved with the files, so Lightroom and DxO PhotoLab show them.

The details that matter when the card holds a wedding, a listing or a client’s campaign.
Shoot to both slots? Insert both cards: each shot is imported once, and the second card’s copy is checked byte for byte. A mismatch is reported — and never deleted.
An ASC MHL file next to the import and the backup, listing every file’s checksum — the standard way to hand verified media to an editor or DIT.
Save complete setups — “Wedding”, “Real estate brackets”, “Video day” — and switch between them in one click.
Insert a card and the import starts by itself after a 5-second countdown you can stop — and the card ejects once it’s safe to format.
No card reader? Connect the camera by USB: both card slots are listed, and the same verified import runs.
Prefer PhotoLab? When the import is done, it opens on the folder with your new photos.

Any memory card with a standard camera folder (DCIM) in a card reader — SD, CFexpress Type A & B, CFast, XQD and more — or the camera itself connected by USB (MTP mode; a card reader is much faster for big shoots). RAW formats from Sony, Canon, Nikon, Fujifilm, Panasonic, Olympus/OM, Pentax, Leica, Hasselblad and others, plus JPEG, HEIF and common video formats. Sony XAVC clip metadata and proxies get special handling.
Every photo and clip on the card must have a copy whose checksum matches the card — from this import or a previous verified one. If anything was skipped, failed or wasn’t verified, you’ll see exactly what and why.
No — it’s the step before them. Import Media Pro gets your files off the card safely and organised; then you edit in whatever you like. It can add the photos to Lightroom Classic or open them in DxO PhotoLab automatically.
Import Media Pro installs a small plug-in into Lightroom Classic. After the verified copy, the plug-in adds the files to your catalog where they are — no second copy — and creates a collection for the import (and one per bracket set). Choose the catalog that’s open, or a brand-new catalog for the shoot, created next to the photos. For new catalogs you make one empty catalog in Lightroom once; Import Media Pro uses it as the template.
Not yet — Import Media Pro is Windows-only (Windows 10 and 11) for now.
Importing stops until you enter a license key. Your settings, import history and reports are kept, so you can pick up right where you left off.
Yes. Open the license screen (key icon at the bottom left), choose “Deactivate on this PC”, then activate the same key on the new computer. Each license can be active on two computers at a time.
Only to activate your key. After that it works offline and checks the license quietly about once a week when you’re online — and keeps working for 30 days without a connection.
No. Your files never leave your computer. The only thing sent anywhere is the license check (your key and computer name, to Lemon Squeezy). See the privacy policy.
